Sobre comunicación y pintura

Según el Diccionario de la R.A.E. comunicar es hacer a otro partícipe de lo que uno tiene, transmitir señales mediante un código común al emisor y al receptor.

Leyéndolo puede parece sencillo pero para mi no lo es siempre. ¿Cómo saber si lo que quiero hacer partícipe al otro le llega y cómo recibo lo que el otro me quiere transmitir?.

El lenguaje que empleamos nos traiciona cuando utilizamos generalizaciones, omisiones o distorsiones, cuantas veces no habremos dicho: la gente es de esta manera (en vez de especificar como una persona o un grupo de personas actúan), necesito ayuda (en vez de especificar qué ayuda y de quién la necesitamos), haces que me sienta mejor (sin especificar cómo me haces sentir mejor). El que recibe el mensaje no lo recibe en su totalidad y el mensaje tal y como lo queremos emitir no le llega. Y eso no solo pasa cuando queremos emitir un mensaje…sino que estos filtros también actúan a la hora de percibirlo.

No se puede no comunicar. Es decir, que aunque no hablemos el otro percibe algo y el resultado de nuestra comunicación depende de la respuesta que recibimos. El valor de nuestra comunicación está en la respuesta recibida.

La comunicación también depende de nuestro estado emocional, físico y de los procesos de pensamiento (dialogo mental). Los límites están en las palabras.

Y si los límites están en las palabras… ¿qué pasa si empleamos la pintura, el dibujo, para comunicarnos?

Empleando este tipo de código, podemos explorar otra manera de comunicarnos con uno(a) mismo(a) y con el otro. Cuando utilizamos el dibujo a modo de proyección gráfica, éste nos da claves para entender algunos de nuestros aspectos generales y comportamientos, aspectos estructurales (cómo dibujamos) y pautas de contenidos (qué dibujamos). Las interpretaciones que sacamos lo son en función del momento en el que nos encontramos. Hacemos visible en una hoja (u otra superficie) la figura o la sombra de uno mismo.

Cuando empleamos la pintura como herramienta de comunicación en parejas o en equipos, por ejemplo, iniciamos un dialogo con el otro, no solo tomamos conciencia de cómo nos comunicamos, sino de cómo recibimos los trazos del otro, “escuchamos” con el pincel, escuchamos con el cuerpo, escuchamos activamente al otro. Empleando la pintura tratamos de realizar un ejercicio interesante y enriquecedor que podemos compartir con las personas con las que convivimos, trabajamos o que queremos conocer.
